SADC, East Africa leaders set to discuss DRC conflict
Leaders of the Southern African Development Community and the East Africa Community are meeting Friday and Saturday to discuss the conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The DRC is a member of both the SADC and the EAC, while Rwanda is a member of only the East African Community. SADC and the EAC have both put forth separate mediation efforts – the Nairobi Peace Process and the Luanda Peace Process.
