Rwanda Genocide Fugitive's Case Postponed
A Cape Town court hearing the case of Rwanda genocide fugitive Fulgence Kayishema, who's alleged to have taking part in the genocide's bloodiest episodes, has postponed hearing to June 2 as more information came to light, the National Prosecuting Authority said Friday. Kayishema is being tried for the killing of more than 2,000 men, women and children who had sought shelter in a church during the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Kayishema, one of the last fugitive sought after the genocide, appeared calm and composed during the hearing. He's been on the run for 22 years.
