Regional bodies intervene

A delegation from the United Nations in South Sudan, the African Union and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), say they are looking for ways to reduce tensions and prevent conflict following outbreaks of violence in Tambura County in Western Equatoria, which caused significant loss of life, destruction of property, and widespread displacement. Samuel Lee, who was part of the delegation, told VOA’s John Tanza that the situation in Tambura was calm.
