Refugees in Uganda Struggling to Survive
A 50% shortfall in funds this year has forced the United Nations World Food Program to cut off food supply for hundreds of thousands of refugees in Uganda. Global crises like the war in Ukraine, the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, as well as drought in East Africa, mean there is less food aid for people like Susan Konga in a country that hosts more refugees than any other African country.
