Thursday marked the beginning of Ramadan, a holy month observed by Muslims worldwide. In Somalia, a predominately Muslim nation, an ongoing record drought has affected millions of people and killed over 40,000 last year. VOA Somali’s Mohamed Olad joined Esther Githui-Ewart to discuss how Ramadan is being marked amid drought and famine.
