Preparations Underway for Sierra Leone’s June Election
Sierra Leone’s electoral commission says preparations are underway ahead of the country’s June 24 general election. The commission says it will distribute voter registration cards next month with official campaigning set to begin in May. Seeking a second and final term, incumbent President Julius Maada Bio is expected to face stiff competition from former Foreign Minister Samura Kamara.
