People Waste Nearly 20% of Food Globally As Others Starve

Researchers found each person wastes about 174 pounds of food a year. Co-author Clementine O’Connor says it's a travesty when over 780 million people face chronic hunger, including many in Africa. She tells VOA's Carol Van Dam it’s complicated, but the problem can be solved through collaboration.
