Okway Osadebe Keeps Father’s Legacy Alive
Legendary Nigerian musician Chief Osita Osadebe is remembered as one of the pioneers of modern highlife music. His son, Okway Osadebe started singing and dancing in his father’s band from a young age. As he charts his own path in music, he draws inspiration from his father's legacy. Okway tells VOA's Jackson Mvunganyi that his new album titled Igbo Amaka is a tribute to his late father.
