Nigerians Upset as Technical Problems Affect Voting
Some voters in Nigeria expressed anger Saturday as long delays and technical breakdowns affected their voting process. Some complained of late polling station openings and others on the new Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) failing to identify voters. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of Nigeria's electoral commission, acknowledged the delays and said voters would be able to cast their ballots.
