Nigerians Mourn Influential Banker Killed in Air Crash
Nigerians are mourning the death of Roosevelt Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Bank Holdings. Wigwe, his wife, son, and others died Friday when their helicopter crashed in California. The US National Transportation Safety Board said Sunday it is investigating the cause of the crash. VOA’s James Butty spoke with spoke with Information minister Mohammed Idris Malagi about the tragedy shortly before the Nigerian Super Eagles took to the pitch against Ivory Coast in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
