Nigeria’s Opposition Protests Tinubu’s Presidency
Nigeria’s main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Monday took to the streets of Abuja to protest the outcome of the 2023 presidential race that resulted in a victory for the ruling party’s Bola Tinubu following an announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The PDP marched to INEC’s offices where they petitioned the electoral body to explain why it declared Tinubu president-elect despite irregularities and concerns that were raised by opposition leaders.
