Namibia’s first female president extends SWAPO’s 34-year rule
Namibia’s President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Wednesday made history after she was announced winner of the nation’s general elections and extended the ruling SWAPO party’s 34-year-rule in power. For insight, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke with Henry Shimutwikeni, a Namibian lawyer.
