An ongoing insurgency in northern Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado province is the stuff of nightmares. Random attacks on civilians – rapes, abductions, killings — have sent hundreds of thousands on the run. Houses and whole villages have been bombed and burned. VOA reporters visited several camps for the displaced. Africa 54 host Esther Githui- Ewart spoke to VOA’s Amancio Vilanculos about the new VOA documentary, “Escaping Cabo Delgado's Nightmare."
