Minnesota Public Housing Director Abdi Warsame works to end homelessness in his state
The United States 2024 election saw both presidential candidates address an anxiety shared by a record number of Americans- high housing costs. Leading a state level agency to combat the problem is Abdi Warsame, a Somali American and director of Minnesota’s Public Housing Authority. He spoke with VOA’s Anthony LaBruto on the tools he is employing, and the people he is partnering with, to solve housing problems in his home state of Minnesota.
