M23 rebels tighten control of Goma amid intense fighting
M23 rebels were still in control of the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo city of Goma which they said they captured on Sunday. United Nations officials reported violence, looting, bodies in the streets, and gender-based violence in the city, according to the Associated Press.
