Liberia’s President Boakai suspends officials over asset declaration
Liberian President Joseph Boakai has suspended 457 government officials, without pay, for not declaring their assets. According to the publication Liberia FrontPage Africa, the list includes Al-Hassan Conteh, Liberia’s Ambassador to the United States. Alexandra Kormah Zoe, chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), tells VOA’s James Butty, the suspensions are in line with President Boakai’s commitment to fight corruption and restore trust in government institutions
