South Sudan Protection of Civilians Camp Closed [2:41]

Authorities in Leer County of South Sudan's Unity State have closed down a Temporary Protection Area for civilians and relocated thousands of former Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their original villages. The county commissioner of Leer says the camp was closed down to prevent the spread of communicable diseases due to poor hygiene and to end what he describes as ‘’criminal acts.’’ For South Sudan in Focus, Lieth Nyak Jock reports from Bentiu, Unity State.
