Justice Finally Served: Kimani's Widow
The wife of Kenya's human right lawyer, Willie Kimani, who was killed in 2016 by three officers, said Friday that "justice has finally been served." Hannah Wanjiku Gitwiria spoke to reporters outside the court that sentenced the three police officers and their civilian informant to decades in prison for the murder of Kimani and two others. Delivering her sentence, Judge Jessie Lessit described the murders as "well planned and executed."
