Born in the U.S. state of Missouri, Phoenix Suns power forward Ish Wainright’s journey to the NBA has been unique as he played basketball around the world, eventually becoming a citizen of Uganda. VOA’s Betty Ayoub and Sahar Mohammadi met up with Wainright at the Phoenix Suns’ facility to hear more about his journey, commitment to basketball and his communities in the U.S. and abroad.
