Inaugural Uterine Cancer Awareness Month Observed
The inaugural Uterine Cancer Awareness Month is being marked globally this June, seeking to raise awareness and resources for uterine cancer. According to the International Gynecologic Cancer Society, the cancer, which develops inside a woman’s womb, has seen an increase in diagnosis among younger and older women, with over 400,000 people diagnosed in 2020. VOA’s Linord Moudou spoke with Dr. Brian Slomovitz, chair of the IGCS Uterine Cancer Awareness Initiative, for more.
