Hollywood Star Opens Free School in Ghana – Extended Interview
Hollywood actor and award-winning comedian Michael Blackson, whose roots trace back to West Africa, recently opened a free school in his home village of Agona Nsaba in central Ghana. In an exclusive interview with the host of VOA’s Red Carpet Jackson Mvunganyi, Blackson discusses the importance of education while documenting what it was like growing up in west Africa and how his connection to the continent has contributed to his career that spans over 30 years with features on several hit movies, comedy specials and television shows.
