Health Report: Female Genital Mutilation Persists in Parts of Africa
At least 200 million women and girls around the world are living with the results of the harmful practice of female genital mutilation (FGM), according to UNICEF, with the most cases concentrated in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. VOA's Mkamiti Kibayasi spoke to Judy Gitau, regional Africa coordinator for nonprofit Equality Now, about FGM in Africa.
