Guinea’s junta demands parties hold conventions or be banned
Guinea’s military junta has given political parties until January 31 to hold party conventions or face a total ban from all political activities in the country. Some parties have begun holding their conventions, while others, especially major political parties, have dismissed the ultimatum. Reporter Karim Kamara has more from Conakry.
