Guinea’s Junta Bans Opposition Pro-Democracy Protests

As the junta in Guinea celebrated two years in power Tuesday, the opposition and pressure groups called for protests. But the junta last night banned all demonstrations. Throughout Monday night until Tuesday afternoon, security forces and angry youths in the opposition strongholds were fighting running battles. Karim Kamara reports from the capital Conakry.
