Gaza Humanitarian Conditions Deteriorate
The UN Relief and Works Agency says its operations in Gaza will grind to a halt in the next 48 hours if no fuel is allowed to enter Gaza. This, as Israeli tanks take up positions in front of Gaza's main hospital on Monday. Israel claims Hamas fighters are operating beneath the hospital. The UN ordered the lowering of its flag to half-mast at UN offices to honor over 100 UNRWA staff killed in the conflict in the Gaza Strip. UNRWA spokesperson Juliette Touma tells VOA’s James Butty her agency desperately needs fuel for humanitarian purposes.
