Gabon Junta Names Transition Leader, Extends Curfuew
Gabon's military leaders named Republican Guard chief Gen. Brice Oligui Nguema transitional president after they seized control in the wake of elections. "As of tomorrow, Gabonese people will once again be able to freely go about their business between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (0500 GMT to 1700 GMT,) said a senior officer in a televised statement.
