First Rhode Island Black Congressman Pledges Service
update
The people of the 1st Congressional District in the northeastern US state of Rhode Island last Tuesday elected its first Black Congressman. He is Gabe Amo, the son of Ghanaian and Liberian immigrants. Congressman-elect Amo also once worked in the White House under former President Barack Obama and (then) Vice President Joe Biden. He tells me that he looks forward to representing the people of his district and the State of Rhode Island.
