Female Health Practitioners Speak on the Challenges of Their Profession
Experts say nurses and other female health practitioners are the backbone of health services, especially in some communities where they are the only medical providers. In others, they are often the first to attend to patients before consulting doctors. In commemoration of International Women’s Month, VOA’s Healthy Living spoke to some nurses who detailed the trials and tribulations of their profession.
