Experts: unity government could alter South Africa’s foreign policy
International relations experts say South Africa’s foreign policy could change dramatically in the near future, depending on which parties are in a coalition government. The African National Congress’s recent poor election results means it cannot govern alone, as it has since 1994. The ANC’s lack of a significant majority in parliament also means it no longer can call the shots in foreign policy. Darren Taylor reports.
