Experts promote contract farming to strengthen Africa food systems
As African farmers struggle with unpredictability caused by climate change, some are looking into contract farming, the practice of growing a certain crop for a price set in advance. Experts at a conference on contract farming held in Kenya this week say the practice offers farmers increased stability and sustainability, although no type of farming is entirely free of risk.
