When a contemporary art gallery reopened this month at the Denver Art Museum in Colorado, one of the creative works that caught the attention of visitors was “Tightrope”, a large-scale modular artwork by the internationally acclaimed Ethiopian artist Elias Sime. Created with repurposed electronic components resembling landscapes, Elias says Tightrope reflects the uneasy balance between technology and humanity.
