International Jazz Day 2024 made its debut to the African continent in Tangiers, Morocco over the weekend. The four-day event featured concerts with known favorites and up-and-coming musicians, and workshops, while highlighting the city’s rich cultural heritage to the music genre. VOA’s Heather Maxwell zeros in on events from there as well as other jazz festivals from Kenya and Ghana.
