In Lamu, Kenya UNESCO’s first World Day for the KiSwahili language was inaugurated with a new cultural center for traditional music. Heather Maxwell and virtual guest, Kenyan musician and arranger Eddie Grey, revisit the day and its performance by traditional taarab group and Noor Sunny.
