DRC foreign minister discusses multiple failed DRC peace talks
Therese Kayikwaba Wagner, the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Foreign Minister, recently sat down with VOA’s Roger Muntu, ahead of an announcement by East African authorities who said Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi will be attending a meeting alongside his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, to settle the violence in Goma, a key trading city in eastern DRC. Kayikwamba Wagner discussed the multiple peace talks between Rwanda and DRC that failed on several occasions. The agreements were mandated with bringing a ceasefire to eastern DRC where M23 rebels have gained territory.
