Doubts over imminent delivery of mpox vaccines to Congo
It appears that the Democratic Republic of Congo may not receive its first delivery of mpox vaccines this week. Reuters quotes the head of the country’s response team as saying there are still several processes to follow. This, as the country’s army Monday accused rebels launched new attacks near the border with Uganda. Reporter Al Katanty Sabiti Djaffar in the eastern DRC city of Goma tells VOA’s James Butty, the virus is prevalent in camps for internally displaced persons.
