Patrice Lumumba’s Relative Reacts to Belgium’s Tooth Return
Belgian authorities have returned a tooth of murdered Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba to his children in a new move toward recognition of atrocities that accompanied Belgium’s brutal exploitation of its former colony. Jean Jacques Lumumba, the great-grandson of Patrice Lumumba, spoke with VOA’s Yeheyes Wuhib about his family’s quest for justice.
