Biden promises smooth transition of power to president-elect Trump
U.S. President Joe Biden on Thursday said his government will ensure that there is a smooth and peaceful transition of power to president-elect Donald Trump, who will be returning to the White House on January 20 after defeating Vice President Kamala Harris in the recently concluded November 5 elections. For insight on the transitional period, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke with David Onserio Monda, a professor of public policy and constitutional law at City University of New York.
