Bangladesh imposes curfew to curb job quota protests

Thousands of uni-versity students are continuing protests against the government calling for the scrapping of what they say is a discriminatory recruitment system that favors certain groups for high-paying government jobs. At least 20 people were killed in the clashes this week - most of them in the capital Dhaka - with police firing tear gas and rubber bullets to scatter protesters who also torched vehicles and establishments.
