Africans Strongly in Support of Democracy: Afrobarometer
As Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, votes Saturday in its presidential and parliamentary elections, Afrobarometer says Africans show unwavering commitment to democracy and democratic norms. In its 2021-2022 survey released this week, the Pan-African research network says most Africans favor elections, media freedom, and presidential term limits. VOA’s James Butty spoke to Joe Asunka, CEO of Afrobarometer, on some of the findings.
