African political scientist says the UNGA should promote peace and development in Africa

Tunde Babawale, a professor of African politics at the University of Lagos, tells reporter Mike Mbonye that the U.N. General Assembly should be more involved in promoting peace and development in Africa. He added that although the UNGA is relevant, it has not lived up to the expectations of African people in helping them overcome poverty and degradation while promoting peace and stability.
