Liberia Anti-Graft Agency Orders Declaration of Assets
update
Liberia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has notified officials of the outgoing George Weah administration to declare their assets before leaving office. Chairperson Alexandra Kormah Zoe says the proper forms must be submitted by Tuesday. She says that while the judiciary branch of government has been cooperative, the executive and legislative branches have not been forthcoming during the six years of the Weah administration. Kormah Zoe tells VOA’s James Butty, the commission has powers, under its new directive, to recommend sanctions to the national legislature for non-cooperative officials.
