Malawi Official Dismisses Former President Mutharika’s Criticisms

Malawi’s information minister says former President Peter Mutharika is in no position to criticize his successor when in fact President Chakwera is trying correct Mutharika’s bad economic policies when he was president. This, after the former president accused President Chakwera of abdicating his duties as president while Malawians are suffering. Information minister Moses Kunkuyu tells VOA’s James Butty, former President Mutharika should first address the divisions within his own party before criticizing the government.
