U.S. President Joe Biden traveled to Tel Aviv on Wednesday in an effort to prevent the war between Israel and Hamas from escalating into a larger regional conflict. But Biden's overall plans hit a major road bump late Tuesday as Jordan called off a four-way summit scheduled for Wednesday with Biden and other leaders. In a new development, Biden says that Israel is agreeing to allow humanitarian assistance into Gaza from Egypt with the understanding that inspections must be allowed – and that the aid should only go to civilians and not Hamas.
