Senegal’s President Macky Sall has been criticized by analysts and opposition figures who say he should declare that he will not seek a third term in office in the February 2024 elections, adding that an attempt will be a violation of the national constitution. 2019 presidential runner up Idrissa Seck, is among the opposition figures calling for Sall’s declaration – a development happening amid his announcement to contest in the upcoming polls.
