Sudan in Crisis
On this edition of Straight Talk Africa, host Haydé Adams and guests discuss the conflict in Sudan as rival commanders General Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan of Sudan’s armed forces and General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, head of the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces, battle for control of the country. Meanwhile, the RSF has called a cease-fire for today. Civilians are caught in the middle as they struggle to find basic necessities, and hospitals are in dire need of medical supplies to treat the wounded. Guests include VOA reporter Nabeel Biajo and Alex De Waal, executive director of the World Peace Foundation.
