China, in the past decade, has been criticized by Western media for its economic and political involvement in Africa. VOA’s Abby Sun spoke to Jidi Guo, an independent filmmaker, about her experience producing “Behind the Belt”, a short documentary film about China’s cultural influence in Kenya.
