'La Manplesa' by local filmmaker Elie Walton examines the root causes of unrest that took place on May 5th, 1991, when people took to the streets of the mostly Latino community to protest the police shooting of Daniel Gómez, a young man from El Salvador following a Cinco de Mayo celebration.
