In Hong Kong, millions of protestors took to the streets to demonstrate against a controversial bill proposed by the Beijing-backed Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, which would have allowed extraditions to mainland China. Daniel Kliman, Senior Fellow and Director of the Asia-Pacific Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), and Olivia Enos, policy analyst in the Asian Studies Center at The Heritage Foundation, discuss with host Carol Castiel the challenges facing Hong Kong as it strives to maintain its degree of autonomy under “one country, two systems.”
