Protestors Urge UNSC to Act on South Sudan
Members of the diaspora are urging the UN Security Council to unanimously support the deployment of a third party force with a strong mandate to protect civilians in South Sudan. At a protest near the United Nations headquarters, diaspora leaders say South Sudanese civilians have paid a heavy price during the ongoing violence, and they believe an outside force could not only save lives, but foster a sense of security in the capital, Juba.
