Malawi female pilots bring aviation dreams to rural children
Malawi's first female flight crew, Captain Yolanda Kaunda and First Officer Lusekelo Mwenifumbo are working to inspire the next generation of aviators. The pair have organized airshows with the Malawi air force to give children opportunities to see aircraft up close. Their most recent event, held Saturday, attracted around 1,000 underprivileged children. Lameck Masina reports from Lilongwe.
World Bank helps Malawi’s poorest tackle climate shocks
The World Bank is helping Malawi's vulnerable communities address the impact of the climate-related disasters, such as cyclones and drought that the country has been facing since 2022.
